Individual Therapy

Life isn’t working.

As you look around, everyone else is doing better than you. You don’t understand what you’re doing wrong, and you’re starting to second-guess yourself.

You’re afraid to mention this feeling to anyone. They might think there’s something wrong with you.

Life is a constant struggle, making you feel stuck and unable to move forward. It feels like you’re sinking in quicksand. The more you struggle, the more uncomfortable you feel.

Although you’ve tried everything, nothing works.

Sometimes, you call in sick to work because you can’t bear dealing with annoying questions. No matter how hard you work, you don’t feel productive.

The last thing you want to do is put on a fake smile when you feel down.

Everything seems so out of sorts that it is difficult to know which direction to take.

You call it a Mental Health day.

It gets old how great your friends have it. You no longer want to listen to their claims about a soulmate for a partner, exceptional kids, and jobs they love.

When you hear those positive comments, you feel worse about yourself.

Now, you’re starting to question your decisions.

“Am I losing my mind?”

Something isn’t right. Although you realize you’re too young to be so forgetful, you can’t remember things anymore, such as where you put the car keys, water bottle, and wallet.

You wonder, “Should I feel concerned?” You would rather avoid that thought, so you distract yourself by endlessly picking up your phone and scrolling.

This is your life – an eternal quest to avoid your experiences.

There is no magic wand for improving life.

Life can be trying sometimes, and you wish your life looked more like your neighbor’s or friend’s.

Be careful what you wish for. Everyone has pain, and maybe you wouldn’t trade yours for theirs.

The truth is you’re not in pain; you’re suffering. When you tell yourself, “I can’t have this,” you’ve got it, and suffering begins. Pain becomes suffering when you can’t accept it.

Life Is messy.

And we wouldn’t want it any other way. There is no joy without pain. So, we need skills. Allow me to teach you how to stay present in your life now – not in the life you had in the past nor the one yet to come.

While working with me, you’ll learn to:

  • Let go of thoughts and feelings that are getting in your way and jerking you around,
  • Accept them with willingness for what they are – thoughts and emotions,
  • Make room to have them even though you don’t want or like them,
  • Finally, lean into what matters to you despite those thoughts and feelings.

Individual therapy can make life better.

Therapy provides a way forward to becoming the person you want to be.

Choosing this path will take you to the rich and rewarding life you desire. It’s out there waiting.

There’s no reason to waste another moment. Life is fleeting.
